Hawaii: Day 2

Monday! Today we booked an excursion with a company. It included hiking the Kualoa Ranch. The same place where Jurassic Park was filmed. It was beautiful and gave us an amazing view of Chinaman's Hat (an island off of the shores of Oahu). We then kayaked to Chinaman's Hat and had lunch and snorkeled around the island. It was beautiful.

All of us on the Ranch. It was a beautiful hike and a gorgeous view.

After we were done with our hike we wanted to go for some good boogie boarding and our tour guide from the kayaking trip recommended Makapu'u Beach. It was fun, but scary. The waves crashed hard and way to close to the shoreline.

Once that boogie board was in his hand Robbie went from a mature Doctor to a 6 year old boy who just wanted to play in the water. It was so fun to watch him. He loved every moment of it.

Robbie all ready to boogie board at Makapu'u Beach.

Riding the waves. This shows how close the waves were breaking. It was so fun to watch.

After the waves, we hit up Teddy's Burgers. A local burger place. Of course I was filling up the 2 waters for Robbie and I and happened to fill them with tonic water (club soda) instead. I had gone to the bathroom before eating and Robbie had drank it, spit it out and then left mine as is. He had Jerom take a video of me drinking it...rude.

Hawaii: Day 1

These last two weeks have been a blur of pure bliss. Robbie finally graduated.

And after 8 years of marriage and being college students through our entire 8 years of marriage, we are excited for the next step in our lives. But before we start that life my parents sent us to HAWAII as a graduation gift! YEAH!

It was so much fun. We went with 3 other couples in our Optometry class. We made some great memories and had such a great time. It was a good way to say goodbye. Although when I finally have to next weekend I think I'm going to cry. A lot. And then have a mental breakdown.

Since between all of us there are like over 1,000 photos I'm going to break them down day by day. We arrived Sunday. The whole time we were walking through the airport Dylan serenaded us with the tune of, "Is this really happening..." We couldn't believe it. It was so exciting.

Graduation

The time has finally come. After all of the hours of studying and cramming. The many mornings where I woke up alone because my husband had gone to school early to study. The many diapers I had to change because my husband was never home to do so. It's over. Finally. Now to pay off those loans :)

We have had a great time these last 4 years. Made some great friends who we had to say goodbye to and more great friends that we'll have to say goodbye to when we move in June.

We are excited, scared, happy, and nervous.

Robbie, I mean Doctor Robert Smith (so fun to say) will start working as an Optometrist in Manitowoc, WI at the local Shopko store. We are so excited to be back in Wisconsin. But also sad to be so far from relatives and friends we've made along the way.

Of course we were having amazing weather here in Oregon 3 weeks prior to Graduation Day. It was sunny, warm, not raining. On the big day it down poured. Major rain. So we are going to have to take an after Graduation family picture within the next few days.

Pictures to come...
