Yellowstone

This weekend we went to Yellowstone with our neighbors, Heidi and Stephen. It was a lot of fun. We went Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday morning. I have to admit camping with an 11 month old isn't as easy as you'd think. I think the only hard part was the fact that she couldn't crawl around anywhere. That really frustrated her, other than that she was pretty good.

Here's our campsite.

Isabel finally had a chance to crawl around, so she decided to help me blow up the air mattress.

Helping Mom. Here's a video of her helping me. She was so excited not to be confined anymore.

One the way to see Old Faithful we saw a lot of bison.

Me with the bison.

I was really nervous about getting too close to the bison, since there were signs everywhere saying that they would charge if you got to close. Supposedly they can sprint up to 30 MPH! Ouch, that would hurt.

The Smith Family at Old Faithful.

It goes off every 42 minutes (give or take 10 minutes).

1 mile down 7 more to go...
The Smith Family at the suspension bridge.

I tried my best not to look down while crossing this bridge.

Enjoying the wildlife along the hike. We think these were some type of beaver or groundhog. We also saw a lot of bison along the way. On our way back the bison were on our trail, so we were walking right towards them. All the bison we had seen had there heads down and were eating and just ignoring us, but when we were walking towards these two bison they were staring at us wondering why we were headed right for them. So we had to go around them and than get back on the trail. I would have taken a picture, but I was really really scared.

Deja Vou...Hey Dad, does this picture look familiar?

The last mile of the hike.

On the drive home from the hike we passed some more waterfalls. There was a hike to go down and get closer but we were exhausted.

Beautiful.

We had to slow down because there were bison on the road. It finally moved to the side of the road.

We were really close.

We also stopped to see the painted pots. Isabel was so happy.

Sunday morning. It was so cold we all slept with beanies on our heads. Here's Isabel wearing Daddy's hat.

Stuck

This is a video of Isabel getting stuck between the wall and our couch. She's always trying to find a way out of "the couches". My favorite part of this video is her expression. She's so sneaky.

Dress

She's gotten so tall, she can now reach up on top of our entertainment center. If we leave something too close to the edge, she'll get it.

She loves to throw around her ball. She's too young for us to tell her no throwing balls in the house. Although while Robbie is playing with her he has been told many times not to throw the ball in the house. He has a much stronger throw than Isabel.

"What's going on out there?"

Isabel

Morning sunshine!

This is what Isabel looks like when she's playing with something that she is so intriguied with, but knows she shouldn't be playing with it, in this case it was Mom's book. Whoever can guess what movie is playing in the background get's 10 cool points!

Porter Park 2

This past weekend we enjoyed the great weather we were finely having and went to the park. Isabel did much better on the swing this time, since she didn't suck on it.

Here's a cute video of Robbie pushing Isabel on the swing.

So happy!

She also loved playing on the toddler size playground.

She has gotten much better at standing too.

When she's distracted to can pretty much stand on her own. I love this picture. She looks so sassy with her hand snaped and her cute jean mini skirt.

Kodak moment.

This is a cute video of Isabel walking with her Daddy.
"I can do it by myself Daddy."

Piggyback rides.

Mommy and Isabel. She didn't really like the wind too much.

Working Girls

As I mentioned earlier I got a job working for Merrill Lawn Sprinkler as the receptionist/secretary. The best part of it is that Isabel gets to come with me. Here's a cute video showing you what Isabel does from 8 AM - 2 PM everyday...

Here are some pictures of Isabel in the office...

Where's Isabel?
She loves to crawl under the island in the middle of the room.

Utah

While in Utah we were able to see a bunch of family. Here is the new updated picture of our 4 generations.

We went to the Myan for my graduation dinner with a lot of my relatives. It was a lot of fun. Here's a picture of Robbie and Isabel watching the divers.

Isabel also was able to meet up with Shayne, her first cousin (or second cousin?) I'm not quite sure what the politically correct name would be. She's such a beautiful baby girl.

Here's a picture of the two James Great Grandchildren. I love how they are both looking at the camera with the same face.

As you can see Isabel was very interested in Shayne. She kept trying to grab at her.
