Thanksgiving in Seattle

We drove up to Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with Robbie's sister, Marie, and her family. We ate a lot of food and a lot of pie. (Yum!) Angela came up with us too. It was a lot of fun. We also took some time to go into Downtown Seattle and visit the infamous Pike's Market. It was really fun to see the men throwing fish and the performers on the corners. Angela and I indulged in some yummy potstickers from a local vendor (Yum!).

After the market we walked over towards one of the piers and I got a great picture of the sun setting. It was very beautiful.

Crazy Hat Child

Here is funny video of Isabel playing with her Dad's hat. She loves to put it on over here eyes and run around.

The video is actually made up of two videos in the second half she had just ran into her little door and Angela and I couldn't stop laughing, luckily my daughter is very tough and just got right back up.

Note: Angela and I had just come home from a long day of shopping, so I think some of Isabel's excitement was getting out of her stroller or car seat.

3/4 of the Bacon Children

I had the pleasure of Greg and Angela to visit. It was interesting to see Isabel warm up to Greg. At first she was very curious and would peek around the corner to look at him and than run away, but than after about 10 mintues she was sitting in his lap. Shoes

Here's a cute video of Isabel playing with her Dad's shoes. She loves to put them on and walk around the house.

Bowling

Isabel went bowling for the first time. She got to stay up past her bedtime and party. It was really fun. We were interested to see how she'd react to the environment and of course the second we put her down, she started for the bowling lanes. It was quite a challenge to keep her off of them, that and keeping her fingers out of the bowling ball return machine (is that what it's called?), luckily she wasn't as interested in that.

Hanging out with Heidi on the couches. The bowling alley had nice leather couches, instead of those uncomfortable hard chairs. It was really nice.

Cookies

Isabel and I were eating at Subway and I of course ordered 3 cookies because they are delicious. Little did I realize the extent of my daughter's reach. I turned around and this is what I saw. She was too cute, I had to take a picture and share some of the cookie with her.

Beacon Hill

On the way home from Seattle, we passed right through Kelso, Washington, my father's old stomping grounds. Since my Grandma and Grandpa Bacon are not with us anymore we haven't had a reason to visit Kelso in such a long time. So we drove past the old Bacon house, and took some pictures.

Of course we had to stop at Nipp's for some corn dogs and french fries.


This was Robbie and Isabel's first time eating at Nipp's.


Robbie gave it a big thumbs up and Isabel enjoyed herself too.

Portland Zoo

This past month Isabel and I and some of our friends went to the Portland Zoo. Every 2nd Tuesday of the month they have $2 Tuesdays! So of course, we had to take advantage. They had this really cool exhibit called "Predators of the Serengeti." It was really fun.

The bald eagle exhibit was really cool, because it was completely open. It was interesting how they weren't caged at all it was an open area that we would walk into.


I know that this picture looks a little off, but I really wanted to take a picture with Isabel in front of the Elephants, but, I knew that if I took her out of her stroller, I would never be able to get her back in.


Isabel with the really, really, big fish! It looks like she's scared of them, but really she was just speaking baby to the kid next to us.




The cheetah was the coolest animal to see, because they would pace back and forth along the windows and as you can see the windows came straight to the ground, so it felt like the cheetah was coming right at you. Isabel loved it.

A Day In The Life of Isabel

After a long day of hanging out and running around we joined Anna Garlick for her surprise birthday party.


As you can see Isabel is a social butterfly. She's loves going up to everyone with her arms in the air saying, "Pick me up. Pick me up.". Here's a picture of Isabel with Heather and her husband Chris.

Trick or Treat

Here's a cute video of Isabel before we left for Trunk or Treat.

We went to trunk or treat at our church and Isabel loved it, she totally grasped the whole trick or treat concept, it was too cute. Of course it was a bit chilly and since her dress was cap sleeved we had her wear her jacket under it. Reminds me of Halloween in Wisconsin (tear).

If you can't tell Robbie dressed up as a cowboy and I'm a cowgirl! I had a hard time finding hats, but Robbie had a cool plastic cowboy gun! Ha!

She has started this new thing, where she climbs onto Robbie's foot and he walks around with her on his foot. She tries it with me, but my feet are too dainty :)


In our new apartment we have this little crawl space under the stairs, it's right across from the kitchen. It's officially Isabel's little play house. We keep all of her toys in there and it's just her size.

She even uses it as a pillow. She was laying next to me doing this and I couldn't stop laughing.
