Kiddos

Getting used to having to multi-task 2 children has been very interesting. Especially when one of them is so dependent on you. I've been so used to Isabel getting what she needs and being very independent. We love every moment of our dear little James. He's growing up so fast and gets cuter and cuter everyday.

James is sooo tired

James is growing up too fast! Slow down!

We received a Halloween care package from my Mom at the beginning of the month. (Thanks Mom!) and inside were some fun Halloween favors and some awesome animal magnets. Here is a cute video of Isabel playing with them. Yes, it's like super long, but it was too cute.

The best is her version of what a pig says.

Preschool

Our baby has grown so fast. She started her first year of Preschool this year.

Isabel with James outside of Preschool before classes start.

Of course our social butterfly already made a friend :) She hadn't even entered the building yet. She came running up to all the kids saying "Hi Friend." She took pictures with her new friend Madison.

Too Cute

Isabel always says that James is, "too cute." I asked her one day if she thought he was handsome. She said, "No, Daddy handsome, James, too cute." So there ya go. Daddy is handsome (I quite agree) and James is too cute.

Here's a video of my too cute baby boy.

NOTE: This video is one of those where I'm talking in a very high and annoying voice. (I just can't help it)

My Babies

I thought I'd show a picture of Isabel and James when they were the same age. We are trying to figure out who James looks more like, who's nose he has, etc, etc....but I think he looks just like his sister. Maybe because they are both so bald...hmm...what do you think? This is Isabel and James at 2 months old.

Big Sister

When people ask me how Isabel is doing with having a new sibling, my response is GREAT, although there are times where she does love him a little too much...for example:

When she kisses him, she kisses really hard and makes him cry.

She also wants him to wake up all the time, so she'll say, "Wake up James, morning James." We've had to teach her that it's okay for James to sleep during the day because he's so little.

My only other concern is that Isabel isn't very aware of her surroundings (kind of like me) she's very klutzy. (i.e. she received her first black eye from running into the dinner table). So...we don't usually leave James on the floor unless we are right next to him, since she has a tendency to trip and fall and I'm thinking James might not be the best thing to fall on...

 She loves to hold James.

James likes to chill with me on the floor outside the bathroom while I'm getting ready for the day. Isabel decided that he needed some company.

Silver Falls

Before the school year started we went camping with some of our friends over Labor Day Weekend. James and I only stayed the day of and left that evening. Robbie and Isabel stayed overnight and went hiking to see all the falls the next day.

Not sure why we took the picture in front of the tent instead of in front of the beautiful trees?

Isabel and Daddy the next morning.

James William Smith

I'm proud and excited to announce that James William Smith finally made an appearance 6 DAYS after his due date (July 22nd)! Ahhhhh! He was born Thursday, July 28th at 11:05 PM. He weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. and was 21 inches long.

We had to get one last picture of my HUGE belly before getting ready, and yes I'm contracting in this picture that's why my face screams pain.

Daddy and his mini me. Although he has my dark hair his features are totally his fathers' :)

He has very dark brown hair just like me :)

Isabel's first time meeting James. She loves him to pieces. It's so sweet.
