Monkey

I always joke that Isabel is my little monkey, but the other day she proved me right. I had just put her down for a nap, so I quickly got into the shower. About 10 minutes later I got out and heard her making a lot of noise. At first I just thought that maybe she was playing with a toy in her crib, but than I heard her playing with toys that I knew weren't in her crib...I opened the door to see her out of her crib playing in her toy chest. WHAT ?!?!? Robbie must have come home early from lunch and this is a joke...he's going to pop out of the closet at any moment to scare me. After searching the house and yelling for Robbie, it was assumed that she had done this on her own, but I still didn't believe it...

I than put her back in her crib to have her reenact her moment...

Of course after she did this I had a nervous break down...my one source of power "the crib" had been taken away from me! What do I do?

Call my Mother :)

"Mom, what did you do...what do I do...this sucks..."

After Robbie came home and I showed him what his pretty princess was really capable of we decided to invest in a crib tent (see image below).

She's adjusted to it very well and we are all happy (especially Mom).

Outside

Isabel loves to play outside in our front yard with her bike, although I've never actually seen her ride it correctly...

We are still attempting to teach her not to go in the road, for the most part she gets it, but we still have to watch her closely.

Push Toys

Isabel received the cutest push toy from her Great Grandma Jo a couple of months ago. It's from Fisher Price and it's not one of those loud obnoxious toys that would drive me nuts, it makes this nice calming wind chime noise.

Well....I kind of would brag about it since the only push toys we remember as a kid where those ones that POP POP POP...

So....to get to my point. Robbie comes home one afternoon from a garage sale, he got a bunch of stuff for only $8! And guess what was included! The classic Fisher Price push toy that POP POP POPS!

The funnest thing it Isabel loves to pull both push toys at the same time...Here's a funny video...

Finally....a new camera...

Well...I apologize. We never found the camera, so after opening ever box we packed we had come to the conclusion..we just need to suck it up, learn from our (my) mistake and purchase a new camera. So after long deliberation we purchased one and I will never let it out of my site again.

So what's new with us...well, a lot of things..
  • We moved from windy Rexburg, Idaho to the great sales tax free state of Oregon. We currently reside in Forest Grove (it's about 30-45 minutes outside of Portland) so that we can go through another 4 years of being poor college students (tear).
  • We love it here. The weather is great and it's so green!
  • Robbie is enjoying his optometry classes and I'm working working on the whole full-time stay at home mother thing....It's a lot harder than it looks...seriously...
  • Isabel has grown more teeth (including her molars) and more hair (kind of?). She is still mistaken for a boy and still refused to wear headbands or bows.
We had our 2nd Annual Bacon Family Reunion on the Oregon Coast about two weeks after we moved here, so that was exciting, and we only had to travel 45 minutes!

We have yet to receive pictures from the Bacon's (hint, hint), but our sweet Uncle Gordon hooked us up before we departed.

(CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE) On my jump drive..which is in the car....which Robbie has...

SITE CLOSED

Well, we have officially moved to the great state of Oregon and of course, through the move, I've left our digital camera somewhere in Idaho? I'm still racking my brain to figure out the last place I saw it. So all of those cute pictures of Isabel that I was going to post are gone...This site will be temporarily closed...Sorry.

Rock Climbing

We went rock climbing with the Redds. It was a lot of fun, hard, but fun. The hardest part is figuring out not only your next move, but your next 3 moves so that you can find a good place to put your feet and hands.

Look at me go....

Robbie got higher than me, I was a wuss...

Baby's 1st Birthday

Time has flown by once again and my little baby isn't so little anymore. We had a great celebrating her Birthday. It was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
It's the Birthday Girl!

Yummy...

Opening her presents.

Here's a video of everyone singing Happy Birthday to Isabel and her eating the cake.
