Isabel and I were hanging out on the couch the other morning and I look over at her and she's balancing her book on her legs. I know this might not sound very interesting and you probably now feel sorry for me that this was something interesting that happened today. (Probably the most interesting thing). But, I had to take a picture of my random child and show it to all of you.

Merry Christmas
So since Christmas is fast approaching and of course I completely spaced sending out Christmas Cards, instead I'm going to post it all here on our blog...
Robbie is currently attending Optometry school in Forest Grove, OR. He's in his second year and excited to finish up his finals this week.
I am currently a stay at home Mom, trying to keep up with Isabel. She's always one step ahead of me.
Isabel is 2 1/2 years old now and keeps me on top of my toes. She is a very busy toddler. Robbie and I thought she'd be our little tomboy, but she has turned into quite the girly-girl. She HAS to wear a dress everyday, her plastic princess shoes and dances around singing "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream..." from Sleeping Beauty. Except she only sings "I know you" over and over again. It's so cute. I have yet to get it on tape and as soon as I do I shall post it.

Happy Halloween
Last weekend PAVA (Optometry Club) had a Halloween Party. Isabel was a bumblebee and Robbie was a flower. I wasn't able to find another flower headband, so I was a black cat.
And of course Isabel is at that age where "smile for the camera" or "look at the camera" means nothing to her.
Last night we attended our Ward Halloween Trunk or Treat. It was the largest Trunk or Treat I have ever seen. The parking lot was full and Isabel's pumpkin bucket was filled to the top!
I can't believe this picture turned out! She's looking straight on to the camera and smiling! Scratch my last comment. Yeah.

Here's Isabel in action. Trunk or Treating at the Hatfield's trunk. The whole time we went she would grab for the the persons bowl and when they would try to put the candy in the bucket for her she would grab it out of there hand. She didn't quite grasp the whole "they put the candy in the bucket " thing or "only take one piece of candy out of the bowl." She would grab a huge handful, which is weird because she is so small?

F-O-R-E-V-E-R
I know, I know, I know. It has been FOREVER since I have posted anything on the blog. So I'm going to show you a quick run through of what we did this summer:
We celebrated Isabel's 2nd Birthday.
Yes, she is now officially a terrible two year old toddler! Yeah!
Isabel blew some bubbles and than spilt them all over the patio...
Isabel also learned how to ride a bike this summer. She's quite the pro now.
Every time she falls hard, she brushes herself off and gets right back up. It's the Robbie in her.

Shoes
Isabel has already started a shoe fetish...uh-oh. If any of my shoes or Robbie's shoes are left around the house she picks them up and wears them around the house. It's too cute. Here's a video of her wearing my heels. She walks better in them than I do...ha. (2/21/2010)

Swing
Well since I'm attempting to catch up on my blogging and these pictures are almost 3 months old, because I've been slacking, I'm going to attach the dates these pictures took place....
Even though it was January, it was really nice out. Not summer yet, but warm enough to go outside and play (weird.....I'm used to Wisconsin weather....) It was really nice :)
Anyways....We have an elementary school literally in our backyard, so Isabel and I love to go over there and swing on the swings. In the summer we would swing on them with her on our lap, but when I came outside Robbie had her swinging all by herself (ahh...), but she was doing fine and we had to take her off kicking and screaming.
